About

This upload reflects all easily available "Talk Soup" episodes transferred from VHS tape (often with commercials!), as well as Greg Kinnear's similar pre-Soup show "The Best of the Worst" & John Henson's short-lived 2004 spin-off "The John Henson Project." This long-running E! clip show aired in its original format from 1991 to 2002.

Talk Soup was hosted by Greg Kinnear from its inception until 1995, John Henson from 1995 to 1999 (whose tenure is primarily reflected here), & Hal Sparks from 1999 to 2000. Aisha Tyler took over hosting duties in 2001 until the show's 2002 cancellation. Talk Soup itself focused primarily on talk shows, while its 2004-2015 successor "The Soup" with Joel McHale was for most of its run aimed fairly squarely at reality television (more relevant/popular at the time).

The files herein were collated by u/Nanosystem01 & u/paulmeranda on reddit, who I thank effusively for doing literally 100% of the hard work. While there are obviously about 9 years of the show's run not represented here, the work's ephemeral weekly nature & primarily pre-digital-age airing mean these great many episodes are somewhat unlikely to surface. If you have additional episodes or a new source you wish to share so that I may upload them here for archiving, please contact me.

Talk Soup has never been available for streaming or purchase in any form as far as I'm aware, without reair in decades. This upload, representing just ~195 of 1100+ known episodes, does not benefit myself or the Internet Archive & exists purely for historical/archival purposes.

Human-made No record of this work says a model made it. What this means.
