About

Read All About It! is a sci-fi educational TV show for children created by TV Ontario. Frequently compared to Dr. Who, series one (1979-1980) had one overarching storyline concerning three children who started a newspaper as part of an attempt to thwart evil baddie Duneedon from leaving the galaxy of Trialviron and conquering earth. This storyline was eventually resurrected in the unfocused second series (1981-1982), which also included time travel to the war of 1812, a cross-dimensional trip to Book World, the introduction of a token black kid, and the (temporary) departure of one of the girls.

The show aired on PBS in the USA, and it was made available in classrooms all around the world with accompanying teacher's curriculum to further engage young viewers. It remained in rotation on PBS until at least the late 1990s, and was still used by some teachers in the early 21st century. Allegedly, due to stipulations in the show's original contracts, it will never be commercially released.

These rips of the complete series originated on YouTube. There were also several teacher's manuals and a very rare tie-in novelization by creator Clive Endersby (the novel was only issued to school libraries thanks to the aforementioned contractual restrictions) which I would LOVE to see turn up on the archive in their entirety, if anybody's got them.

Human-made No record of this work says a model made it. What this means.
