About
Back in 2012, Seth MacFarlane was riding high with his hit animated shows like "Family Guy" and "American Dad" when he created this particularly profane teddy bear.
"Ted" is a 2012 fantasy comedy directed by Seth MacFarlane in his directorial debut, written by MacFarlane, Alec Sulkin, and Wellesley Wild, and starred the voice of MacFarlane as the voice of the titular character, in addition to Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis, Joel McHale, and Giovanni Ribisi, with narration by Patrick Stewart.
The movie received generally positive reviews from critics and was a box office success, grossing $549 million on a budget between $50 million and $65 million. It's currently the second highest-grossing R-rated comedy behind "The Hangover Part II".
The movie later spawned a sequel in 2015 titled "Ted 2", and later a prequel series simply titled "Ted", which will premiere on Peacock on January 11th, 2024.
