About
It's time to boldly go where some comedians have gone before.
"Galaxy Quest" is a parody of "Star Trek" and its fandom (known as the Trekkies), as well as other science fiction films and TV shows.
The movie was directed by Dean Parisot and stars Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver, Alan Rickman, Tony Shalhoub, Sam Rockwell, and Daryl Mitchell. It also features an early appearance by Corbin Bleu, who would later become a Disney Channel star. "Alvin And The Chipmunks" voice actor Justin Long also makes his acting debut here.
The movie received positive reviews from critics, audiences (including Trekkies), and even cast and crew members of the "Star Trek" franchise, who all praised its sense of humor.
