About
Summary: Arthur Lydiard is a distinguished athletics coach who has trained some of the world's best long distance runners. Photographed on location in New Zealand, this film takes a look at his training methods as applied to runners like Heather Thompson, John Walker, Jack Foster and Max Telford. Lydiard himself comments on the principles behind his techniques and the athletes talk about their motivation, experiences and rewards. All four are seen in action and the beautiful New Zealand landscape is a bonus. Awards: International Film Festivals, Chicago and San Francisco
