About
Long Time to Grow: 1 - Two and Three Year olds in School
Shows four-year-old children in a familiar world of activities and interests, largely an elaboration and perfecting of the skills and interests of two- and three-year-olds, a world of vigorous play with emphasis on group activity, of sensory pleasures, of dramatic play, and of assured confidence in the use of materials and words. Points out that five-year-olds beginter the world of older children, enjoy games with simple rules, seek facts about the world around them, wonder about life and death, animals, trees and themselves, and begin to use symbols, with words and numbers taking on some meaning.
