About

Produced by Jeffrey Weber for United Methodist Communications

Harriet Kerr, a widow in her forties, talks about her twenty-year marriage to a minister, his death, and the difficulties she and her three children encountered in adjusting to his absence. Initially angry, withdrawn, and depressed, Harriet began a small quilting business, returned to school to try to discover a meaningful vocation for herself, and gradually carved out a new identity. Excerpted from the Begin with goodbye series
