Subsurface Utility Engineering: A Proven Solution
This video stresses the benefits and briefly describes the methods of obtaining accurate three-dimensional mapping of subsurface utilities. Local agencies are counseled to contract the services of a subsurface utility engineer for development of future construction projects to lower construction bids, project costs, and liability exposure. Guidelines are given for the procurement of these services. Classes of utility data and their applications are described, and the cost savings resulting from the use of accurate information is repeatedly emphasized.
