Early Opening of Full-Depth Concrete Repairs

Fast-track full-depth concrete pavement repairs are introduced. Major considerations are discussed: planning to assess the need for fast-track construction and the production rates for each maintenance activity; scheduling tasks to prevent bottlenecks; and evaluating the strength characteristics of the placed concrete to determine the highway opening time. Methods of full-depth repair and onsite concrete quality control are shown briefly. SHRP tape no.32.
