THIS FILM GIVES OBJECTIVES OF THE NEW HOSPITAL PROCEDURE FOR TREATING MORE PATIENTS, USING SPECIALLY TRAINED MEDICS (AMOSISTS) TO HANDLE MINOR ILLNESSES. EXPLAINS THE ROLE OF THE AMOSIST MD: SEEING PATIENTS WHO REALLY NEED A PHYSICIAN, TEACHING AMOSIST AND FEWER MD PERSONNEL PROPER WAYS TO TAKE HISTORIES, EXAMINE AND DIAGNOSE SYPTOMS USING TRIAGE AND ALGORITHM SYSTEMS, AND ADMINISTERING THE PROGRAM TO BE CERTAIN IT FUNCTIONS EFFICIENTLY AND SMOOTHLY. POINTS OUT POSSIBLE PROBLEM AREAS IN THE AMOSIST CLINIC.
