About
Producer, director, Jane Chapline
Eugene's Valet is a New York City dry cleaning store that also functions as the local bar for the community. It represents a slice of New York neighborhood life that is fast disappearing. This documentary is a personal portrait of Al, a self-made entrepreneur, a survivor of the Depression and a latent borscht-belt comedian. Working in the shop 14 hours each day for 42 years, he serves as friend, amateur psychiatrist and confidant to his customers
Human-made No record of this work says a model made it. What this means.
