About
DVD Transfer 93 features the following uploads. Most of it involves racing on some level.
CONTENTS
1. 2019 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (2019 Toyota-SaveMart 350; the race at Sonoma was the 16th race of the season and won by Martin Truex Jr. {driving the #19 Bass Pro Shops Toyota Camry for Joe Gibbs Racing}. Race called by Mike Joy; Darrell Waltrip and Jeff Gordon in the booth; with Jamie Little, Regan Smith and Matt Yocum reporting from the pits. Final FOX race of 2019; and with that race “DW” would close the books on not just a 19-year broadcast career with FOX, but nearly 50 years of involvement in NASCAR as a driver, owner or commentator that saw Waltrip win 84 races (currently 4th all-time and 2nd in the modern {post-1972} era behind broadcast partner Gordon) and 3 championships in 1981-82 and 1985. In tribute to Waltrip's retirement; a number of drivers used paint schemes as a tribute to Waltrip – particularly if they drove a number used by DW in his career (among them; Matt DiBenedetto {#95 Leavine Family Racing Toyota Camry; and who finished a career-best 4th in this race} using a design similar to Waltrip's early career Terminal Transport #95 scheme from the 1970s; David Ragan {#38 Front Row Motorsports Ford Mustang} using a “chrome” scheme similar to Waltrip's 1997 silver anniversary scheme and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. {#17 Roush Fenway Racing Mustang} using a paint scheme similar to the Western Auto #17 scheme Waltrip used during his time {from 1991-97; roughly at the twilight of his career} as a driver/owner – Ragan ended up 20th; with Stenhouse right behind him)
2. NHRA Mello Yello Summit Racing Nationals (Funny Cars at Norwalk, OH. Bob Tasca III won the Funny Car title. Partial recording {went over from the Sonoma race and around the 4 hour mark a Dish screensaver pops up})
3. Leave It to Beaver (Beaver on TV {S6E22 - MeTV recording}. Includes beginning of Perry Mason episode (“The Duplicate Case”) immediately following. Brief inside joke as the music for the “Revue Studios” tag (company that produced LITB) plays before the intro to “Teenage Forum” (the show Beaver is appearing in; though he gets a drink of water before the producer explains that the show had changed formats and instead of airing live {Beaver and everyone else who knew him in Mayfield's assumption} the show was being taped to air the following week – much to Beaver's humiliation when his classmates think he lied)
