About
Decades after her death, a 1920s flapper (Carol Mansell) returns to play maid and nanny for a motherless 1980s family in an effort to earn her heavenly wings.
This is the very first sitcom produced by TBS (back when it was named WTBS). It's also notable for being the second show in which Dick Sargent ("Bewitched") replaced the original actor (this time, it's TV dad Stephen Johnson, who only appeared in the first season). The show co-stars David Kaufman, Kyle Richards, Randy Josselyn, Marla Rubinoff, Ronnie Schell, and Lester Fletcher.
One of the most memorable aspects of the show was the overlong theme song that summarized the plot, co-written by the show's co-creator, Sam Harris, the then-recent winner of the first season of Star Search (a 1980's precursor to American Idol).
