The female kangaroo produces one young every eight months. This procedure is carefully diagrammed, filmed, and commented upon. Cycle includes year round breeding and a double uterus in the mother, a 33-day gestation period, birth, a long climb for the furless, blind embryo into the pouch where it spends six months developing eyes and hind legs
