About
Note: Purchased under a grant from the Sidney Myer Charity Trust
This is one of a 12 part series filmed with official approval in direct-cinema mode during the Cultural Revolution. The filmmakers sought to achieve a certain intimacy with their subjects by living at the locations. This part gives a view of army life in which officers eat with the men and the soldiers and their wives work in factories, community and cultural activities.
