About
Examines the physical features of several different areas in Afghanistan and explores the lifestyles of its people. Contrasts daily life in an isolated village with the continuous trading activity of Kabul's bazaar. Emphasizes the use of manpower, especially child labor, in the production of ornate metal work and elaborately designed rugs. Shows the age old methods of making grape juice, rug making, baking, and salt grinding. Also shows the lifestyle of the camel traders and the atmosphere of the bazaars where the rug and carpet makers go to find the best possible price for their wares.
