En 1961 se produjo el debut de Pepe Biondi en la TV argentina. Un cómico que había surgido en las huestes del circo y que había ganado gran popularidad en Cuba. “Viendo a Biondi” es uno de los programas más asociados a la historia misma de la televisión nacional. Se emitió ininterrumpidamente durante 11 años (9 de “Viendo a Biondi”, 1 de “Chistes en Biondirama” y 1 de “Festibiondi”), siempre por la pantalla de Canal 13. Implementó una modalidad de humor distinto y respetuoso por antonomasia, imponiendo una galería de personajes inolvidables como “Narciso Bello”, “El bobito”, “El gitano Pepe Luis”, “Pepe Mamboleta”, “Dr. Papafrita”, “Pepe Curdeles” y otros, que dejaron frases y muletillas que todavía hoy muchos repiten.
