About
A Video Professor series tape structured in three sections for different experience levels. Section 1 is for first-time Windows users and covers basic mouse techniques (clicking, double-clicking, dragging), what windows and icons are, keyboard orientation, and how menus work. Section 2 covers the major differences from Windows 3.1: no more DOS at startup, no Program Manager (replaced by the Start menu), the new button layout with the close button now at the far right, and the habit warning about accidentally closing a window instead of maximizing it.
Section 3 is the main lesson, covering starting and opening programs, the Documents menu showing the last 15 files, the Find feature, My Computer disk drive operations, the Calculator (scientific and standard modes), WordPad (cursor, text wrap, cut, copy, paste, save, print, open, keyboard shortcuts), Paint (toolbox, colors, shapes, clipboard paste between programs), MS-DOS programs (full-screen toggle with Alt+Enter, mark, copy, paste), adding programs to the Start menu, the Recycle Bin, selecting multiple files with Ctrl and Shift, the Add Printer Wizard, Control Panel display settings, Help (Index, Contents, What's This button), and shutdown. Ordering information for beginning ($119.95) and advanced ($149.50) packages appears at the close, with a phone number of 1-800-828-8700.
