About
Pilates Body Circles Workout is a short arm-toning video produced for use with the Pilates Body Circle, a proprietary product described as a lightweight padded metal ring worn on the wrist and spun to tone and firm the arms. The program is distributed through Gaiam. The instructor explains that the circles can be used for only a few minutes anywhere and introduces the workout with a brief stretching sequence.
The workout covers four main arm positions with the circles: palms forward for bicep work, palms back for triceps, shoulders, and back, a neutral wrist position for the forearms and wrists, and a crossed-arm position for the inner arm. Between sets, the instructor leads shoulder stretches including a cross-body shoulder pull and a tricep overhead stretch, demonstrating the correct form for each. A midpoint break is offered. The workout then switches hands and repeats the sequence with the circle in the other hand. Final stretches cover the side stretch and upper back release. The program operates throughout in Pilates stance, with tummy held in and posture coached throughout. The tape runs approximately 16 minutes.
