About
Fit 4 is a low-impact aerobic workout video produced by LifeWay Christian Resources. The program is led by Branda Polk, identified as the Health Ministry Specialist at LifeWay and a certified aerobic instructor, with two additional demonstrators named Joel and Dina. Joel is identified as a personal trainer demonstrating strength-focused modifications with optional hand weights, while Dina demonstrates lower-intensity beginner modifications throughout.
The workout is divided into five segments: a warm-up, three cardiovascular segments of progressively increasing intensity, and a cool-down with stretching. The warm-up begins with neck rolls, shoulder lifts, heel lifts, and directional punches before moving into calf and hamstring stretches and hip flexor work. The first cardio segment covers wide marching, squats, lateral arm raises, and side leg lifts. The second adds chest presses, chest flies, knee lifts, back rows, and hamstring curls with optional hand weights. The third uses forward-and-back walking patterns, knee lifts with diagonal tap-backs, side squats, and bicep curls, followed by tap-backs with tricep kickbacks. The cool-down includes tap-side movements, overhead reaches, cross-body stretches, standing calf and hip flexor stretches, quadriceps stretches, and hamstring stretches, ending with deep breathing and a cool-down heart rate check.
A brief informational segment at the end, with Polk speaking directly to camera, describes the video's structure and how viewers can use individual segments to build fitness progressively over time. Heart rate monitoring instructions appear at the end of each of the three cardio segments using both the carotid and radial pulse sites.
