About

A direct-mail promotional video for a Chevrolet dealership sales event called the Challenge 2000, produced for the Puget Sound market. Hosts Jim Pemble and Anna Neal present the video in a news magazine format. The event was scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, July 12th and 13th, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Alley Chevrolet Geo, located at 11550 Lake City Way in North Seattle, described as one mile east of Northgate Mall.

The program promotes deep discounts on new Chevrolet vehicles including the CK full-size trucks, Blazer, Tahoe, Suburban, Venture minivan, Cavalier, Metro, and the then-new Malibu, which is referenced as Motor Trend Magazine's Car of the Year. Used vehicles are listed starting at $499, with low-mileage 1996 and 1997 factory program cars also offered. Financing terms of 3.9% over 60 months are noted on select vehicles, along with a no-money-down, no-payments-for-90-days option on approved credit. Recipients were directed to bring a sealed envelope from inside the tape box to claim a guaranteed prize ranging from $5 to a new Chevy S-10 pickup or $10,000 cash.
