About

This tape contains commercial breaks from two distinct recording sessions roughly two and a half years apart, both from WLUK Fox 11 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

The first section is from mid-May 2000. Fox promotes its farewell to Beverly Hills 90210 — "Say goodbye, the final 90210" — airing on Fox Wednesday at 8/7 Central. The series finale aired May 17, 2000. Walt Disney Pictures' Dinosaur is promoted as coming to theaters May 19th, rated PG. Fox promotes the live special Tombs of the Golden Mummies airing Tuesday May 23rd, and a separate film is noted as rated PG-13 and opening May 23rd. A GMC Sierra extended cab is promoted using 2000 model year pricing. This section has a distinct spring atmosphere with end-of-season Fox programming and big theatrical releases.

The second section is from fall 2002. American Idol live airs on Fox, followed by a full hour of The Bernie Mac Show — Bernie Mac debuted on Fox in fall 2002, and American Idol concluded its first season in September 2002 with an extensive rebroadcast schedule. Malcolm in the Middle's season finale is teased, consistent with fall 2002 scheduling. An Elton John Greatest Hits 1970 to 2002 infomercial runs, confirming the 2002 timeframe. Fox 11's Good Day Wisconsin at 5:30 a.m. is promoted in both sections. Tom Milburn is the Fox 11 news anchor named throughout. A smoking anti-tobacco public service campaign runs prominently. The Dodge Neon SXT at $189 per month, Kodak Plus digital one-time-use camera, Army Reserve recruitment, and E*Trade Bank online banking are among advertisers in this section.
