The NBC Saturday Morning Preview Revue

About

Variety/kiddie show moguls Sid & Marty Krofft produced this Saturday morning preview special for NBC which only aired once, on September 6, 1974.

Hosted by Jimmy Osmond and a puppet named Petey the Peacock, the special includes special guest appearances by characters from H.R. Pufnstuf, The Bugaloos, and Johnny Whitaker with Sigmund and the Sea Monsters. Features promos for "Wheelie and the Chopper Bunch," "Land of the Lost," "Run, Joe, Run," "Star Trek: The Animated Series," "Emergency +4," and "Go."

Extensively featured throughout are the Krofft marionettes, a staple of television in the '60s and '70s which have become overshadowed by the Kroffts' more elaborate costume characters.
