In 1992, the gang from The Chronic Rift entered a brand new studio and attempted to create a more professionally produced pilot episode that showcased what the show does. In creating this pilot, producer John S. Drew listened to some television industry folks and made some changes to the format. He shouldn't have listened. The show was as popular as it was on New York public access because of the very elements he changed at the industry folks's urging, and that included replacing Keith DeCandido and Andrea Lipinski as hosts. DeCandido appears, but in a limited capacity as comics reviewer.
