Tarzan in Concert with Phil Collins

This television special, which only aired one time on ABC's TGIF, features Phil Collins in concert performing songs he composed for Disney's animated "Tarzan." Unfortunately, the title is misleading, as it is not a full concert. Songs are fragmented and interspersed with cast and crew interviews, as well as behind-the-scenes footage in the recording studio and some brief coverage of the film's premiere. Basically, it's a 45 minute commercial for the movie which could've/should've been a DVD bonus feature.

Hosted by Cameron Mathison, also featured are Glenn Close, Rosie O'Donnell, Minnie Driver, Tony Hawk, Wayne Knight, Tony Goldwyn (Tarzan), Alex D. Linz (young Tarzan) and the-then ubiquitous *NSYNC, who are shown in the studio recording their track for the film. Included at the end are a few related Tarzan commercials which aired during the special's sole broadcast.
