About

Still somewhat battered, this is a sharper, richer-looking copy than the others already on IA.

From http://www.oh-the-horror.com/page.php?id=440: Small town secrets are often the most interesting, and the events that went down at the Butler home are a prime example. On Christmas Eve, 1950, a man emerges from a large white house engulfed in flames and promptly falls to the snow in agony, burned to death. Inside, a funeral song plays on the organ while the Christmas embers burn in the fireplace, a view of the burning corpse can be seen through the window.

The deceased man, Wilfred Butler (Philip Bruns) leaves his estate to his only living relative, his grandson, Jeffrey (James Patterson) on the condition that the house is left alone as it stands. Years later, Jeffrey needs some money and decides to sell the house, sending his lawyer to deal with the matter. The townspeople desperately want the house to be demolished and finally they’re given the out. While everyone is hoping for a White Christmas, an escaped mental patient from the loony bin stirs up a bit of a panic. A series of twists, turns, truths and a brutal axe massacre makes this Christmas resemble squished holly rather than pure white snow…
