About

Really, Raquel was a prime-time variety special adapted from Raquel Welch's 1973 live night club show, "Raquel and the World of Sid & Marty Krofft." The Krofft puppets appear with her during various sequences and there's a brief interlude featuring a star-studded puppet symphony - plus an introduction by a puppet version of Welch's "Myra Breckinridge" costar and nemesis, Mae West. Jane Kean and Rich Little provide seldom-heard voices for the puppets.

Includes a cheesy tribute to her movies "One Million Years B.C.," "Kansas City Bombers," "Fantastic Voyage" and "Myra Breckinridge." Welch also performs "Let Me Entertain You" (from "Gypsy), "I'll Be Your Baby Tonight," "Cheap Lovin'," "Ain't Necessarily So," "You Are Woman, I Am Man," "Just Squeeze Me (But Don't Tease Me)," "I'm a Steamroller, Baby!," "Saved," "Fantasy Beginning," "You Light Up My Life," "Fantasy End," "Born a Woman," and "I'm a Woman (W-O-M-A-N)."

Credit for the rip of this rare special (long rumored to be lost!) goes to YouTube's Obsolete Video, however, many of the details were blown out, so I've attempted to digitally enhance the picture quality.

Human-made No record of this work says a model made it. What this means.
