About
Lesson 84 in Encyclopaedia Britannica's 'Je Parle Français' French language instruction series of 1961. Austere in its grandeur, this most Gallic of films make precious little use of language, in detailing the interior of the palace of Versailles. Here we visit the Hall of Mirrors, Louis XIV's bedchamber, and numerous interior details, ending with hollow footsteps echoing below the grand staircase.
