Home video shot by astrophysicist Mario Acuña (1940–2009) during his July 1991 expedition to Mexico for the 2nd Congreso Latinoamericano de Geofísica Espacial (COLAGE) conference and viewing of the 11 July 1991 solar eclipse.
Includes views of two hotels (Hotel Posada Jacarandas and Hacienda Vista Hermosa), breaks between conference proceedings, a traditional Mayan dance demonstration, scientists and their families viewing the solar eclipse, and the city of Taxco.
Audio: conversations are overheard in Spanish and English.
This NTSC VHS dub is from the personal collection of solar physicist Ted Speiser (1934–2016). It was digitized to Lagarith AVI and transcoded to H.264 MP4 in 2020.
