Clips are not offered for this film: the US renewal records do not settle it.

Not offered: what its record states (its uploader's public-domain mark, or a licence not shown to be its rights holder's) leaves its US term to decide, and it is dated 1960; under US law a work of that year is free only on facts the site does not hold for it (its US renewal records, or its own country's term on 1 January 1996 for a work published abroad), and otherwise its US term runs to the end of 2055. About

A Film by Thomas L Schmitt

This clip (R8), titled “Ice Diving in Tucker Lake” was filmed by Thomas L. Schmitt. Its custodian and archive is The Filson Historical Society. The 8mm film chronicles a 1960 scuba diving expedition by the Kentuckiana Scuba-Diving Club on Tucker Lake. The lake, a former quarry located in southeastern Jefferson County, Kentucky, was a the time a summertime destination for swimming and recreation. The recreational facilities have since been removed, and a housing development now encircles the lake. The film captures scenes above and under the ice, the divers excitedly exploring the lakebed and locating unusual objects.
