About
Pearl Harbor: Spring of 1942 Produced: 1942
Description This film depicts Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, in the spring of 1942, following the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. A Douglas SBD Dauntless dive bomber is shown as it landed near a beach, and a Consolidated PBY Catalina flying boat is seen as it flew over Kaneohe Bay, landed, and taxied in the water to an aircraft ramp. Footage of burnt-out aircraft fuselages, engines, and hulks, and large stacks of rusted and disabled water bombs, is also shown.
