About

Over the next several weeks we are going to enter into a journey of emotional healing together. It is going to be a step by step, progressive journey where I reveal a bit of the teachings a week at a time, like the inner critic series. This will require a fair amount of faith as you step in and receive the teachings gradually over time. The teachings offered in this series, yoga for emotional healing are simple, yet deep and meaningful. By opening to our emotions we can free ourselves from our suffering caused by obsessive thinking, compulsive actions and the endless anxiety that underride our experience. This is going to be a deeply, transformational and accessible series. We will begin by letting go of emotional control.

This hatha yoga class will support the letting go of emotional control with yoga postures that help you to let go from knee to chest pose, reclined side bend and a vinyasa in bridge pose. When we come to plank pose we will explore how we hold on. In standing we will let go with a standing twist and breath of joy, followed by standing forward fold. When we come back down to the ground we will continue to let go of emotional control with reclined bound angle pose and seated bound angle pose.

Yoga Postures/Asanas: Apanasana or Knee to Chest Pose, Banana Pose or Supta Ardha Chandrasana, Bridge Pose or Setu Bandhasana, Plank Pose or Kumbhakasana, Downward Facing Dog or Adho Mukha Svanasana, Standing Twist, Breath of Joy, Reclined Bound Angle Pose or Supta Baddha Konasana, Bound Angle Pose or Baddha Konasana, Savasana or Corpse Pose, Surabhi Mudra
