About

PINES, THE Produced: 1925

Description Dramatizes a farmer's efforts to prevent blister rust from devastating his pine trees. Reel 1 emphasizes the need for periodic thinning of forest land, and statistically illustrates the annual increase in value of pine tracts. Reel 2, currant and gooseberry bushes, hosts to the blister rust spore, are uprooted to break the life cycle of the pest.
