About
In the 1930s artifacts at an exhibit of objects expressing Tibetan heritage are carefully filmed by a camera with an eye for documentation. Hands offer to the camera sculptural objects, art objects, household objects, full-sized mannequins wearing traditional clothing, textile displays, and a Thangka, or Bhavachakra, a wheel of life painting. At home in the U.S., a Tibetan breed of dog, Lhasa Apso, is being bred, positioning this reel as part of the history of the introduction of this breed to North America. A festival of puppies winds up the reel.
