About
A family in Mississippi celebrates their first Christmas in their new home in 1947 and documents it using a sound-on-film motion picture camera. Notable sequences include the grandmother receiving a clock radio, the mother a vacuum cleaner, and the two sons with a Whizzer motor bike and the controversial book, Little Black Sambo.
Lloyd Royal, maker of this film, operated a carnival in Meridian, Mississippi and several motion-picture theaters in the state. He also produced Mississippi-focused independent feature films.
Color film section has severe water damage.
