About

Segments from two very different US army-produced films. The title of the first film, "Management of Mass Casualties: Part 9: Burns," serves as a viewer advisory. Produced to educate army personnel in the Cold War who are a new generation in the 1960s, to ready them for response to mass casualty events such as were widely encountered by personnel in World War II and in the Korean War. Includes army-produced stock footage of aircraft, ships, and missiles, as well as graphic footage showing people who have been badly burned in bombings.

The second film, starting at the 12:00 mark, is a domestic instructional depicting members of a family at home learning about how to engage with their town's fallout shelter system of readiness for nuclear conflict.
