More Than Machines

About

Promotes awareness of the importance of fine honing of engine parts, specifically fine grain fit between pistons and cylinders in combustion engines and weapons. Shows machine tools at work and features unusually extensive use of terms "hone," "to hone," "honing," "honing equipment," and "hones" all in reference to the surface texture of machine parts. The film promotes predictable quality in machine shops in a World War II context.
