About

Home movie or tourist footage of Alaskan landscapes and wildlife, sled dog racing, the Alaska Railroad, ice skating, and a performance of the Indigenous Alaskan Wolf Dance. Based on the can notes, several events pictured, including the Wolf Dance performance and sled dog races, are likely associated with the Anchorage Fur Rendezvous festival, known locally as the Fur Rondy.

Notes on can: “1953 Rendezvous & Wolfe Dance” and “Ak RR, Falls, Anton Tracks, Native dances, sledge, dogs, ARR new engines.” "Rendezvous" refers to Anchorage Fur Rendezvous.
