About
Social guidance film narrated by the character of a police officer, advising children not to trust strangers. Invokes spectre of random kidnapping from sidewalks and alleys and other scenarios in which children permanently disappear. Narration implies that abduction (and all that may follow) is an ordinary threat to children. Positions the police as hero saviors in dramatized sequences. First of four editions.
"Impresses the child with the need to be on guard against molesters, and not to become friendly with strangers. Dramatizes places and circumstances under which the child may encounter dangerous strangers." Educational Film Guide, 1953
