About
Emily Sparer, ScD, looks at possible health risks in fire stations. Dr. Sparer’s project is a collaboration between two NIOSH extramural funded Centers, which are the Harvard Education and Research Center [ERC] and the Harvard Center for Work, Health, and Well-being- a NIOSH Center of Excellence for Total Worker Health®.
The study also involved partnerships with the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston Fire Department and Boston Firefighters Union Local 718. For the latest information on NIOSH-funded extramural activities, go to the Extramural Research and Training Programs, ERC and Centers of Excellence for Total Worker Health® web pages.
