About
This video covers Lesson 1 of Talking Safety, Young Worker Injuries. It explains how to:
• introduce the topic of workplace safety, • assess students’ prior knowledge about workplace safety and health, and • teach students that injuries at work are predictable and can be prevented. The video also reviews the activities in Lesson 1: the job safety quiz, the Mallory’s Story video, and the real life stories of teens injured on the job. The full Talking Safety curriculum can be downloaded for free from the NIOSH website (https://www.cdc.gov/niosh/talkingsafety/default.html).
