페덱스, TNT 인수 완료

About

미국 특송회사 페덱스가 네덜란드 물류회사인 TNT 인수를 완료했다고 밝혔습니다.

인수 가격은 44억유로, 우리 돈 5조8천억원 정도로 알려졌습니다.

통합 이후 페덱스의 직원 수는 34만명에서 40만명으로 늘어나게 됩니다.

이번 인수를 통해 페덱스는 TNT가 유럽 지역에서 강점으로 갖고 있던 물류 네트워크를 흡수하게 돼 항공 특송 역량은 더욱 강력해질 것으로 기대됩니다.

인수를 완료함에 따라 두 기업은 통합 절차를 착수할 예정입니다. 통합 실무는 페덱스와 TNT에서 차출된 직원으로 구성된 팀이 담당하게 됩니다.

통합이 마무리되기 전까지 두 기업은 현재와 동일한 사업형태를 유지하기로 했습니다.
