About
CDC and Million Hearts® are recognizing health care practices and systems as 2017 Hypertension Control Champions. The Hypertension Control Challenge recognizes health practices that help at least 70% of their adult patients with hypertension make blood pressure control their goal. Nearly 1 in 3 American adults has high blood pressure—also called hypertension—but only about half have their blood pressure under control. Improving the proportion under control is the single most important thing we can do in our health care system to save more lives.
