Several workers at, the Pyramidion, the tip of the Washington Monument, in Washington, D.C. fit the tip of the monument’s scaffold into place, on Monday, May 13, 2013. This is part of the process to repair the damage from the August 23, 2011, 5.8-magnitude earthquake. The Washington Monument is located adjacent to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Yates Building (red brick building). More than 2,000 photographs were created for this time-lapse depiction of the work and structure. USDA Photo by Lance Cheung.
