About
Original listing and sheet music here: https://musescore.com/user/36482158/scores/24835828?from=youtube_share Theron C. Bennett (1879-1937) was a capable composer who wrote a number of ragtime-related pieces including this fine rag. He worked for Victor Kremer in Chicago as composer and arranger for several years before setting up his own publishing business. He was an entrepreneur who started a chain of music scores in the Midwest; was also a musician and orchestra leader and eventually moved to Los Angeles. He lost his wealth in the Depression and died in 1937 at age 57. This rag was published by Victor Kremer in Chicago in 1909.
Not to be confused with Luckey Roberts' famous piece "Pork and Beans" from 1913: https://musescore.com/user/36482158/scores/10623703
Original score source was from the Charles Templeton Sheet Music Collection at Mississippi State University at this link: https://scholarsjunction.msstate.edu/cht-sheet-music/12827/ This is a reproduction of the original score.
Many thanks to Musescore's JohnJ1995 for a fine suggestion.
