🎵 In today's video, we dive deep into the incredible world of AI-generated music, exploring the brand-new open-source AI-powered music generator by Meta, called MusicGen.
We kick things off (00:00:00:00 - 00:00:09:29) with a quick introduction to MusicGen, discussing the innovative technology that powers this unique musical tool.
At (00:00:09:29 - 00:00:20:13), we get a first-hand look at the generator, and I share the process of how to interact with this currently free-to-use platform. Please note, there might be a bit of a queue to use it due to its popularity!
From (00:00:20:13 - 00:00:43:07), we delve deeper into the features of the MusicGen generator, including a direct link to the platform (link in the description 👇) and an overview of some of the music I've already created with it. Plus, you get to hear a sample of the music this AI is capable of producing!
During (00:00:43:10 - 00:01:01:13), we discuss the pros and cons of this first generation AI, acknowledging that while it might not be Grammy-winning material, it's pretty impressive for a free tool. We then start from scratch, creating a brand-new track.
From (00:01:01:13 - 00:01:22:27), we go through the steps to use the MusicGen platform, pointing out the options to describe your desired music or to upload an audio file to guide the AI in creating a similar sound.
Between (00:01:22:27 - 00:02:06:13), we elaborate on the process and features, including a discussion about MusicGen, which was trained on roughly 20,000 hours of music, including licensed tracks from Shutterstock and Pond5.
At (00:02:06:16 - 00:02:23:24), we discuss the potential copyright-free use of this AI-created music, making it a potentially powerful tool for YouTubers and other content creators.
Upon returning (00:02:23:29 - 00:02:53:19), we evaluate the results of our second music sample, generated by MusicGen based on my description: "lo-fi slow bpm, electro chill with organic samples."
Lastly, at (00:02:53:21 - 00:03:08:07), I show you how to download your AI-generated sample and wrap up the video.
