About
The star of this Mountain Moment is the Cascade Frog. Found in lakes and ponds throughout the park, this amphibian starts laying its eggs as soon as the water thaws, from late May to early July. Eight to 20 days later the larvae emerge, so keep an eye out for tadpoles in the coming weeks! NPS Video. Description: Sunlight glimmers on the surface of a still pond, bordered by wildflowers, with tad poles and frogs swimming in it. Music: "simplethings" by Sturzstrom, CC-by-nc.
