Studio
Mix your camera, your screen and your files with works from the library whose rights allow it. Cut, mix, key and credit them live, record the program, and edit it on a timeline. It is all made in this browser: nothing you make here is sent to this site. A phone of yours can be a camera too: its picture comes straight to this browser over your own network and never reaches this site, which passes on only the details the two devices need to find each other, for a few minutes. Other people can come in as guests, their pictures straight to this browser. You can send the program live, straight to an address you name.
Sources
On a film's page, Use in the studio adds it here, where its rights allow it to go into a program. Your camera, screen and files stay on this device, unless they are in a program you send, show to guests or take live.
A phone as a camera
Scan this with your phone's camera, or open /studio/phone on it and type the code:
Both devices need to be on the same network, such as the same Wi-Fi. The picture goes from the phone to this browser directly: no server outside your network relays it or sees it. This site passes on only the details the two devices need to find each other (their addresses on your network, and the keys of their connection), and forgets them when they have connected. The code works for 10 minutes, for one phone.
Guests
Send this link to the people you want in your studio, or show them this code to scan:
It works for 60 minutes, for up to four guests at once, and anyone who has it can come in. Each guest is a source named by what they typed, and nothing of theirs goes out until you take them to the program; you hear them from the start. Remove on their tile ends them at once, and makes a new link so they cannot come back by this one. They see the program and hear its sound without their own, so what is on it reaches them.
Their picture comes straight to this browser: this site never sees it and no server relays it, so some networks (many mobile networks, guest and public Wi-Fi) cannot connect. This site passes on only the details your devices need to find each other, and a guest's name to you alone, and forgets them. As in any direct call, your browser and a guest's learn each other's internet address, and the address each has on its own network; Cloudflare, which carries this site, tells each browser its internet address.

On the preview
Choose a source's Main, Corner or Key on its tile to build the next shot here, then Cut or Auto.
The key runs on the GPU, in this browser.
A library work's credit is drawn on the picture for six seconds whenever it first comes on, and every work used is credited on the card a recording ends with. A work under a NoDerivatives licence goes on alone, as in a collection: it is cut to and from, with nothing over it and no sound under it, and its credit is on that card.
Run of show
Save the preview as a cue; Next cue sets it up and takes it with its transition.
Record
Keep this tab showing while you record: while it is hidden, the browser stops drawing it, and the recording holds its last picture until the tab is shown again. Its sound carries on.
What you record is yours to share; the works it uses say on what terms, here, as they come on.
Go live
The program and its sound go straight from this browser to a WHIP address you name: your own server or streaming service. This site hosts no stream, and never sees the picture, the address or the token, which stay in this page's memory until you leave it. Works are judged as for a recording, each is credited as it comes on, and the program ends on their card of credits.
Not live.
Editor
Cut your recordings, your own files and library works together on a timeline: pictures with their sound, pictures and titles over them on several tracks, and sound under them. Trim, split, move, mix and title them, place each picture and move it with keyframes, then make one file, with every work's credits in it and on its last card. It is made in this browser, and nothing is sent to this site. The recordings you make here go in as they are; once you leave the page they are gone, unless you saved them or kept the edit that uses them.

The selected clip
None: choose a clip on a track, with the arrow keys or a press.
It holds a NoDerivatives work, so it goes in as it is, alone, as in a collection: nothing over it, no sound under it, and cuts to and from it.
Add to the edit
Your recordings from this visit, your files and the library works in your sources above (a work's page adds it there, where its rights allow it to go into a program). Your files stay on this device; you vouch for their rights.
Keep it for another visit
Only when you press it: this edit and a copy of each file of yours it uses go in this browser's private storage for this site, on this device, and nothing is sent. Library works are kept by name, and asked for again when you open it. Settings lists what is kept and deletes it.
Make the file
It uses nothing from the library yet.
