Check a sound
The voice in the studio (Piper en_US-ljspeech-medium) marks all it says: a faint watermark in the sound itself, and in a take's file a signed manifest. Here anyone can check a sound for them. It runs in this browser, on your device's processor, and nothing is sent.

What it can and can't say
- Only this one model's sound carries this mark. A sound without it may still have been made by another model: no mark does not mean a person made it.
- The mark is meant to survive a change of level, lossy coding such as AAC or Opus, a change of sample rate, being cut, and being mixed under other sound at about the same loudness. It does not survive a change of speed or pitch, and a sound mixed far below another may not read.
- It is not secret: its pattern is public, so that anyone can check for it, and so someone who wished to could remove or copy it.
- A manifest is signed with a key made in the browser that made the file. It says the file has not changed since, and nothing about who made it.
Its specification is public, in the site's repository (docs/studio.md), with this page's code as its reference implementation.
