Inhalt:

Seit einem Jahr rennt Caroline Griem, die Neue im LKA, gegen eine Mauer des Schweigens. Dahinter: ein Müllskandal, der aus der Tiefe einer alten Tongrube bis hinauf in Landtag und Ministerien reicht. Zu allem Unglück wurde auch noch Annika de Beer von dem Fall abgezogen, weil ihr Mann Arne Listewnik, seit ihm ein Freund aus Jugendtagen das unverhoffte Angebot machte, Pressesprecher des zweifelhaften Entsorgungsbetriebes ist. Und: Braubach könnte endlich LKA-Direktor werden und kann keine hunderttausend Tonnen Müll brauchen, illegal abgelagert – wer macht sich mit sowas schon beliebt bei Politik und Verwaltung? Bis Caroline Griem ein gewagtes Spiel riskiert: Ein – fingiertes – Geständnis von Arne Listewnik soll ein Leck schlagen in den Panzer der Korruption und die Exeunt GmbH unter Druck setzen. Prompt entlässt die ihren PRChef fristlos. Doch schlimmer als das ist der Grund, auf den sie sich beruft: Eine Kollegin hat Arne wegen Vergewaltigung angezeigt. Nur macht es die Sache für Annika wirklich besser, wenn es eine Affäre war, wie Arne behauptet? LKA-Legende Jost Fischer jedenfalls würde lieber alles dran setzen, die Müllmafia hinter Gitter zu bringen, als die Ehe seiner Ex-Kollegin zu retten.
